Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comedian and actor is famous for her performance in the role of a cast member in 'Saturday Night Live.' Her first stage experience was in theatre but got inclined to comedy at the age of nine, after taking a course in the art of improv. She initially wanted to be an actor, but then realized she was gifted in comedy. Therefore, her focus moved from acting to Improv. Her first professional gig was on a cruise liner, performing with other members of Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong performed at popular events like Chicago Sketch Fest and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She also appeared with Virgin Daiquiri which is an all-female troupe, as well as New York Sketchfest. The actress became a household name in 2012 following her appearance in "Saturday Night Live" in the season 39. She was a cast member, anchoring Weekend Update with Seth Meyers first, as well as Colin Jost later. Her most memorable performance was in the role of "The girl whom you'd like to not have had conversations with at a event'. The same year, she also released her debut film the short film "How to Fund the Uterus'. She has openly spoken up about how women are treated on the screen as bikini models, rather than as strong characters in mainstream movies.
