Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has won Emmy Awards. She hosts the oldest Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa. The show began in 2002. It will air for 27 more seasons. Ina started her career as a writer in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and policy reports. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual challenge of her job, but eventually, she stopped her interest. Instead, she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. Her store was extremely successful for 18 years before she decided to sell it. After that, she started the first book. The cookbooks were followed by many more and magazine columnists that came later. A different hit is the Food Network Television show. She sells many products, from ingredients for food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina herself, a self-taught chef she has never attended a culinary school or in the hotel. Ina is well-known as a cook who is simple and has her entertaining style. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
