Zoe-perry
Perry is born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television were two appearances on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. Fearing stress, her parents did not want to see her pursue acting before turning age 18. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was transferred from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, relocated in New York in search of television roles. She landed small parts on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness brought her back to California to find theater work. She appeared on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie with her in the year 2015. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, she played a recurring role on her own ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. She played the role of an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. The part was offered an audition to the actress, regardless of the fact that she is a relative with the role.
